Has anyone else noticed growl being less effective against outland mobs?
It seems to be resisted but a good number of mobs whom also seem to be able to parry disengage.
Naturally I’ve noticed this three fold in instances when I attempt my old manual cast growl for cloth protection (healer gets aggro, wing clip, sick pet on mob, hit growl hot key etc) it just gets no respect.

I can make up for it a bit with intimidation but that has limited use and utility.

To clarify I am not speaking of tanking instance bosses or anything immune to taunt. Just because I’m a beastmaster doesn’t mean I’m stupid.-David A. Smith

This is strange Hunters’ have the most posts(97360) but not the most amount of threads(5234)? The mages’ have the most threads(7832) but we nearly double there posts(54570). Whats up with that o_0. Anyone know why this is ? TY =_D

Can anyone calculate if Rapid fire does more dmg then a shootingcycle?

Skip volley. The only thing it gains aggro on, is the mobs that anyone else only have token threat on. Distracting, Arcane, and if there aren’t any other mobs nearby (CC and so on) multishot. You shouldn’t need a macro for that. The macro I have worked out so far is
/castsequence distracting shot, concussive shot, arcane shot, volley
I put volley last because it takes some time to set up. I do find it to be an effective aggro puller, though (usually at all the wrong times).
I also didn’t add a pet attack because my pet may already be engaged with a mob and may have aggro of his own. Sending him in here may very well pull his mob with him. Also, unless he’s got dash and it’s not on cooldown, I’m not sure if he’d get there in time to help anyway.

I’m sorry. But Petopi-what?You always want a focus dump and bite. Bite has higher and the focus dump allows you to deal damage within that period of time. With GFtT you will still benefit from having a focus dump, especially if it’s just auto-attack besides. So I’d get both either way.

You never had both. Is this still the case, or should I go give my ravager (I’m BM) bite in addition to my Death Knight of Frostmane

I got messaged last night by a 55 hunter asking to invite him to Scholo while my wife and I were getting her Pali mount quest done. (fighting that boss at that time)
I told him we were leaving and that he should just quest in a few zones to level up and get some money.
He told me that his pet sucked as it never held aggro. With this I asked him what pet was he using.
He told me he was using a bird. So I asked him the first thing I could think of. Was his Growl and Screech up to date
He asked what screech was and said it was a bird it can’t growl… OH NOES!
I /facepalm and went into explaining this to him the functionality of growl and that any pet can learn it. He was like, my pet doesn’t have either of them.
I told him to train these to his bird and start doing quests in the crator, eastern plaguelands, or Wintersprings. he told me he did all those quests already and he was still 55. I told him go check again. which apon complaints about his pet not holding aggro on mobs in Hellfire I reminded him of the level difference and also told him not to unload all his abilities on the mob.
He started complaining so I told him I was getting off and logged out.
Sorry about the long story but…
Is it really possible for someone to continue trying to levelall the way to 55 without growl on a pet? To me that just seems rediculous.
