i have a blood spec (52 pts in blood) lv 77 that usually finishes #1 in dps #2 in damage taken and #3 in healing (get that) in all the instances i do. but like most of us, i am always looking for a little more, for improvement. i tend to only use armor that gives strength, stamina and critical strike bonuses. my neck, rings and trinkets all give critical strike bonus and have additional bonuses that stack… alright i am running on and not getting to my question. which do you prefer agility bonus or going directy critical strike bonus?and why do you prefer them…thanks
For a DPS only improvement my choices are:
1- get hit rating capped;
2- STR (or 2x AP) > CRIT > EXP > AGI > STAM
Therefore, i only get AGI (gems or enchants with it) after get EXP (expertise) capped. That is I won’t!
Considering that i’m rit rating capped I ll always pick up STR gems in red sockets. All the places that accept AGI enchants also accept STR or 2x Attack Power.
I like gems with STR + Crit in yellow sockets, and STR + STAM to the blue ones.
The crit improvement from AGI is far inferior then Critical rating itself. AGI gives more armor (useless for a DPS) and a irrelevant AP when compared to other options of 2 collors gems.
It’s nice to hear that you are a good DPS. A good DPS performance rely on (imo):
1- focus and attention;
2- player skills;
3- nice weapon;
4- gear.For Gems
Red – Bold Scarlet Ruby = +16 Strength
Yellow – Pristine Monarch Topaz(orange) = +16 AP and +8 Hit Rating (if not capped), or Inscribed Monarch Topaz(orange) = +8 Str and +8 Crit Rating (if capped on hit)
Blue – Vivid Forest Emerald(green) = +8 Hit and +12 Stam (if not capped), or Sovereign Twlight Opal(purple) = +8 Str and +12 Stam (if capped on Hit)
